Thanks to the generous support of Tow Pro, we will be offering scholarships for attendance to the 2024 Utah NENA Wellness Conference!
Criteria
Must be employed by a Communications Center. This employment may be on a reserve or part-time basis, but preference will be given to full-time dispatchers first. The applicant must be in good standing with that agency. This Is not exclusive to PSAPs, but Includes university/campus police, air ambulance services, etc. Preference will be given to dispatchers in the State of Utah first.
Scholarship Details
This scholarship will include a full conference registration for the Utah NENA Wellness Conference in Provo, held March 7, 2024, and 1-year telecommunicator membership to NENA. Lodging, per diem, and any other associated costs, If applicable, will be the responsibility of the attendee and/or their agency. If the award recipient is already a NENA Member, they will have the option of taking the value of the membership as cash to pay for any associated travel costs OR gift a membership to a colleague of their choice.
Responsibilities of Recipient
Scholarship recipients must attend the conference, barring illness or unforeseen emergencies. If an applicant is unable to attend the conference, funds must be returned to Utah NENA, and we will award the scholarship to a runner-up applicant, providing that time permits. Scholarships are not transferrable.

- Complete and submit the application by the deadline.
- In your application, explain your reason for applying for this scholarship, your expectations of attending the conference, and how it will benefit you and your agency in the future of telecommunicator wellness. This write-up should also express your commitment to public safety, leadership skills, and any other general comments about your current or future plans with the 9-1-1 profession.
- A letter of support from your supervisor is desired, but not required. This helps us award individuals who are more likely to guarantee their attendance.
- Must be completed by February 20, 2024. Late applications will not be reviewed.
